When you’ve been renovating your own home slowly over six years — while raising a family and running a business — your perspective shifts.

You stop making decisions based purely on aesthetics.

Living through a renovation (instead of completing it in one fast sweep) has been one of the most valuable experiences in shaping how we design and build at CUTLER. Every adjustment, every layout change, every furnishing choice has been filtered through one lens:

Reducing Price Shock: Building With Clarity From the Start.

Building a home should feel exciting.

It should feel full of possibility. Creative. Expansive.

A season of anticipation for what’s to come.

Yet for many homeowners, that excitement can quietly unravel the moment budgets and designs stop aligning. When the vision carefully drawn on paper doesn’t reflect the financial reality, inspiration can quickly turn into overwhelm.

This is what we often refer to as price shock and with the right approach, it’s largely avoidable.

Traditionally, homes are designed first and costed later.
